About Our Towne
covering Southern Rensselaer County and beyond

Thank you for your interest in Our Towne, Southern Rensselaer County, Your Hometown Community Resource.  Our Towne is mailed and distributed monthly to households and businesses, covering a variety of neighborhoods in Rensselaer County.

It is our mission to connect local consumers with local businesses in a fun and friendly way.  We are always positive and light, with each edition featuring locally owned businesses, messages from local organizations, community calendar and events.  Look for our fun special extras like Parent Pages, Pet Pages, Recipes and of course, great specials from your area businesses and happenings from our area community service groups.

A reader’s survey, completed by the readers of Our Towne, indicated that Our Towne stays in their home an average of 20 days per month AND they have referred back to Our Towne 7 – 10 times during that time frame.

Similar to our featured local businesses, Our Towne is locally owned. I was born and raised in the Capital District, a graduate of Maple Hill High School and the University at Albany. I live in Schodack with my husband Darren and 4 children, 3 of whom are triplets!

Professionally, I bring to Our Towne experience in small business print media sales and marketing, and small business development.  I am also a former high school history teacher and world traveler.  I am a member of the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce, the East Greenbush Business Alliance & The Sand Lake Business Alliance.  I am a member of the CES PTO, and a Brownie leader, and I maintain a special interest in children’s issues involving Autism.
